Seasonal Tax Preparer
We are always looking for experienced Seasonal Tax Preparers to assist with the preparation of individual and business tax returns from February 1st through April 15th. The ideal candidate will work a minimum of 20 hours per week from January through April, with the possibility of up to 40 hours.
Prior experience working for a public accounting firm and 3-5 years of preparing income tax returns is required. The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and QuickBooks software. Experience with Wolters Kluwer (CCH) tax software, along with Fixed Assets and Engagement software is a plus. CPA license is preferred.
Hourly compensation with full- or part-time flex hours available.
Business Valuation Specialist
Starting Salary Range: $42-$50/hour commensurate with experience.
Required Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or closely related curriculum.
Required Experience: 5 to 20+ years. CPA license or comparable accreditation required.
Position Description: We are seeking a full-time Business Valuation Specialist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in public accounting or comparable business setting. The right candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience preparing business valuations and calculations of value. Candidate will conduct business valuations for a wide variety of purposes, including succession planning, business sales, divorce and estate planning. Candidates should be able to assist clients in a broad range of industries and experience with mergers and acquisitions and litigation support is preferred. Candidate may also be willing to prepare income tax returns for businesses and individuals – as needed, training will be provided. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with Meicher CPA’s valuation partner Dennis Kleinheinz, who has over 25 years of business valuation and tax experience. We pay at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime, health insurance and employer retirement account match of 5% of wages once employed by the firm for 90 days. This is a great opportunity for career advancement and to become an equity partner in a growing public accounting firm.
We are looking for a Staff Accountant. The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Quick Books software. Experience with Wolters Kluwer (CCH) tax software, along with Fixed Assets and Engagement software is a plus. Prior experience working for a public accounting firm and 2-7 years of preparing income tax returns is required. CPA license is preferred.
Compensation commensurate with experience. Compensation is hourly with time and one half for overtime making our firm a leader during the busy season for employees wanting to work many hours. We are looking for a Tax Manager to add to our growing team of public accountants. The successful candidate should have an excellent working knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and practical application to partnership, S corporation, partnership, and high net-worth individual income tax returns. The ideal tax manager is well-versed in multistate business and individual tax returns and has a high capability of working to complete client deliverables with minimal partner involvement. Experience with experience with Wolters Kluwer (CCH) tax software is preferred including ProSystems Tax, Fixed Assets and Engagement software is preferred. Prior experience working for a public accounting firm and 7-12 years of preparing or reviewing business and individual income tax returns is required. CPA license is required.
