Gordy is a lifelong Madison resident. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh where he graduated Cum Laude and received the “Outstanding Senior Award.” In 2008 he became the 34th alumnus in the University’s 128 year history to receive an award for his national achievements in business and for his work in the humanities.
Gordy is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (International Business Honors Society), Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Economics Honor Society) and the Wisconsin and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Gordy has been a top tax instructor for both the AICPA and nationally recognized Surgent & Associates, Inc. In addition, he was selected to write the AICPA tax manual which is used nationally to teach CPAs throughout the country.
In addition, Gordy has received the Wisconsin Small Business Accountant of the Year Award, WICPA Community Service Award and numerous other community awards. He is a charter board member of Dane County Boys and Girls Club and Northeast Side Youth Basketball. For over 25 years he has served on the Investment Board of Saint Benedict’s Monastery.

Favorite Outside Activities: Coaching youth basketball, service club volunteering, golf and running, spending time with family, and playing tennis.
